The Philippine Educators’ Association for Community Extension (PEACE), Inc. forged a memorandum of agreement with the JCI Philippines on July 24, 2024 in Lingayen, Pangasinan.

The purpose of the agreement is to establish a partnership for the engagement of PEACE, Inc. officers and members as official External Judges for JCI Philippines’ Area and National Awards. Included in the terms and conditions were: 1) the role of JCIP AREA 1 to appoint officers/ members from PEACE, Inc. as official external judges for JCIP Area Awards, where PEACE, Inc. is encouraged to nominate 10-15 judges; 2) for PEACE, Inc. judges to evaluate entries based on the predetermined categories and criteria established by JCIP AREA 1 for the Area and National Awards, but prior to the judging, appointed judges shall be provided with orientation and training in order to effectively carry out their tasks.

Acting judges agreed to maintain the confidentiality of all information related to the judging process and the entries reviewed. For impartiality in judgement, any conflict of interest that may compromise the ability of the PEACE, Inc. judges must be declared to maintain the credibility of the judging activity.

Represented by its President, Dr. Potenciano D. Conte, Jr. the MOA signing was motivated in extending the services PEACE, Inc. can offer to the community. Mr. Bernie Pioquinto, the representative of JCI Philippines looks forward for the partnership. Also present in the MOA signing activity were the PEACE, Inc.
